Camel Trail cycle track – Cornwall
We finally cycled the Camel Trail on Tuesday – it was amazing! I can’t believe we have lived so close to this gorgeous cycle trail for over two years and not been before now. The reason that we hadn’t been was because the children had not learnt to ride their bikes without stabilisers until a few weeks ago. Now they’re hooked!
We drove to the Borough Arms in Dunmere which is a lovely pub just outside Bodmin. It has a great parking area and lovely playground which the children really enjoyed. We joined the trail here via a path from the car park and cycled along past some disused railway stations. It’s a really sociable path where everyone says hello as they pass.
We were really pleased to arrive at the Camel Trail Tea Room – what a gorgeous place. A sheltered garden with plenty of tables to enjoy a refreshing cup of tea or an ice cream.
We then carried on and came across Camel Valley Vineyard – a favourite of mine. We didn’t stop this time as we had the dog but will definitely make that a stop off on future rides.
